CMS aims to provide affordable as well as high-quality healthcare. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services delivers its mission and philosophy on the company website’s welcome page. On the website, they state their commitment to quality patient care through the use of innovative technology as well as state their dedication to providing meaningful information about the quality and costs of their services (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, 2021).
Evidence-based practice is exercised in the “Research, Statistics, Data and Systems” section of the company website, where the organization provides information about the information technology and computer systems that are utilized and statistics and trends observed in their medical general healthcare practices. The organization offers detailed studies, statistics, and evidence within each subsection, such as systematic-reviewed studies and randomized trials. For example, in the “Chronic Illness” subsection, the company links a study that observed variations and classifications of chronic illnesses and tested the prevalence of chronic illness in US adults. The study included randomized control trials, which are practical uses of Evidence-based practice, as well as systemic reviews (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2021). As outlined in the company’s mission, the organization also uses Evidence-based practice when discussing the technology utilized in their health practices.
